Practical fabrics for the sofa and armchair, together with a pop of pink and luxury in the window – lifting the mood.
This was an early project for us. We were brought in initially to help with the decorative scheme, and perhaps a few cushions – but ended up involved in all aspects – from bathroom design and lighting/electrical plans, through to the specification of FF&E including bespoke joinery designs. Our clients bought this house to develop into their future family home. We were given the brief before they had children, with requests for a classic contemporary home that would be a fun space to entertain in and also a practical space to raise a family. The brief included requests for lots of pink and sparkle, we delivered this balanced with dark purple and greys. We incorporated the original features of the building with our clients’ more contemporary aesthetic.
The house had been largely untouched for years and presented our clients with an opportunity to create a vision for their family home. As we were brought onboard in the early stages we were able to work with the architect on how best to approach the floorplan – in particular the creation of the Master Suite and the addition of a Dressing Room. There were considerations of colour palette, how best to include ‘her’ desire for the pink and the jewel-esque tones, whilst designing a house suitable for ‘him’ and a future family. An overall neutral colour palette was developed with pops of colour through statement sofas, bright splashbacks and subtle floral roman blinds.
